The PE and Sport Premium is additional government funding provided to primary schools to support improvements in the quality of PE, sport and physical activity.

The funding is intended to help schools make additional and sustainable improvements to their provision, developing opportunities for children to be active and helping to establish positive attitudes towards physical activity from an early age. GOV.UK

At Chatsworth, we recognise the important role that physical activity plays in children's health, wellbeing and development. We aim to provide high-quality PE alongside a range of opportunities for children to be active, develop their physical skills and experience different sports and activities.

We use our PE and Sport Premium funding to enhance our existing provision and to make improvements that will have a lasting impact for our children and staff.

How We Use Our Funding

Each year, we publish information showing how our PE and Sport Premium funding has been used, the impact it has had on our pupils and how improvements will be sustained.

The DfE requires each eligible school to publish its own report, including the amount received, how it was spent, its impact and how improvements will be sustained. It also says the previous year's report should remain available on the website.
